Stew from the slow cooker a la Sandra
What do you need: (For 4 people, 8 points per person) (Made in the 3.5 liter Russel & Hobbs)
1000 grams of low-fat beef roasts (Irish, with Appie, in large cubes)
150 ml Hertog Jan grand prestige beer
2 red onions (in half rings)
1 onions (in half rings)
2 tablespoons Rinse apple syrup
75 ml of apple vinegar
3 slices of zero gingerbread (crumbled)
2 cinnamon sticks (in herb bulb)
1/2 bunch of fresh thyme (in herb bulb)
4 bay leaves (in herb bulb)
4 juniper berries (in herb bulb)
4 cloves (in herb bulb)
1 dessert spoon djinten (cumin powder)
2 maggiblokjes (crumbled)
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
1 tablespoon Greensweet Brown
2 tablespoons of flour
fresh pepper and salt
Pam olive oil baking spray (from the Body & Fitshop, 0 points)
This is how you make it:
I always put everything (at room temperature!) Washed, cut and finished, which cooks nicely and conveniently.
Put the cinnamon sticks, cloves, juniper berries, bay leaves and fresh thyme in a herb bulb (you do not have to return everything)
Spray the beef with the baking spray, sprinkle with pepper, salt and flour and fry briefly in the inner pan of the slow cooker. (If you do not have a removable pan that can be put on the stove, do it in another pan and put it in the slow cooker pan later).
Blush with the Hertog Jan beer and let this stand up for 5 minutes on high heat.
Add the onion, red onion, garlic, soy sauce, apple vinegar, Greensweet Stevia Brown and djinten and stir fry briefly.
Then add the apple syrup and the crumbled maggi cubes and mix.
Finally add the gingerbread, stir together and put the herb bulb in between, put the inner pan back into the container.
Close the lid and set the slow cooker to high for 5 hours and to low for 5 hours. Important ... do not open the lid anyway during the first 4 hours !!!! This disturbs the slow cooking process, open it after 4 hours and stir everything equally well. Quickly put the lid back on.
Delicious with 100 grams Aviko fries from the airfryer (4 points pp extra) with two tablespoons 5% fries sauce (1 point pp extra) and with Hak red cabbage (0 points pp extra) without taking apple, pear or cranberry because otherwise it costs points.
So you take stew with fries, red cabbage and fries sauce, that is 13 points together.
