Black beans with carrot in tomato sauce

What do you need (2 portions)

200 grams of black beans (cooked, rinsed clean),

1 tin peeled tomatoes (or tomato cubes),

1 tbsp tomato puree, pinch chili flakes,

1 carrot (grated),

1 clove of garlic (finely pressed),

1 el greensweet syrup gold,

salt and pepper to taste.

Optional: 1/2 el cornstarch or arrowroot

Step 1

Take a large pan and add some water or (coconut) oil. When the pan is warm, add the garlic and grated carrot.

Step 2

Add the black beans, canned peeled tomatoes, tomato paste and chili flakes to the pan. Stir well and let it simmer for a minute or 10-15 minutes. Is the sauce too thin? Then add a 1/2 el cornstarch or arrowroot.

Step 3

Stir in 1 tbsp greensweet syrup to the mixture and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Step 4

Fill your wrap with this mixture and add some (field) lettuce

Also nice with some (coconut) rice ....
