Greensweet Syrup Gold is ideal in the kitchen as a substitute for honey and / or syrup. This delicious syrup is made from a vegetable fiber (isomalto oligosaccharide) so the syrup contains much less calories and still tastes delicious.
The fibers are plant components and are officially covered by the carbohydrates. Should you therefore avoid fiber if you are on a low-carbohydrate diet? Absolutely not! These fibers are extremely good for your body.
They are processed differently by your body than normal carbohydrates. Normal carbohydrates are absorbed, digested by your body and enter your blood as glucose. These fibers, on the other hand, are not converted as glucose, but are retained. They are therefore not (or partially) digested.
The Syrup is unfortunately not Gluten-free. Barley malt extract is created by sprouting and drying barley or wheat grains. Some of the gluten from the grain is broken down during this process. Due to incomplete degradation, the barley malt extract may still contain gluten.
The Greensweet Syrup Gold contains no less than 70 g (per 100 g) of dietary fiber, an excellent choice .. die Gold.
